What shipping boxes do we provide for delivery to Kuwait?

With our services, we offer double-walled cardboard boxes to protect your delivery shipment during its long overseas journey. Large (for bulky, soft items) and Standard (smaller, heavier things) are our most popular containers. See below for the exact dimensions. Order more delivery boxes than you think you need, and we'll collect any that are unused and still in brand-new condition for free.

Specially shaped containers made from the same materials are available for the delivery of musical instruments and sports equipment. Securely prepare large items for transport, and we'll box them at our nearest depot.

You can use your own containers, but please avoid laundry bags, plastic crates, used food boxes and bin liners. Such fragile containers may break easily and damage the rest of your delivery shipment.

Customs clearance in Kuwaiti explained

Like all countries, Kuwait has prohibited items to protect its people and the environment. Please check out our Prohibited Goods page while packing your delivery to avoid fines or delays.

Log in to your online account and complete the following:

  • An inventory that lists the items you're shipping to Kuwait, including the contents of all delivery containers. Customs authorities will have access to this, so please ensure accuracy.
  • Optional insurance forms for peace of mind in the rare chance your delivery shipment is lost or suffers damage.
  • Colour scans of the shipment owner's passport picture and signature pages.

Via our services, you can send most used household effects and personal items to Kuwait charged at 5% of their total value. If sending a computer modem, you must ensure it's registered with the Ministry of Communication and pay a yearly fee of $400. Reference the Kuwaiti Government website for the latest information.

If shipping by sea, it's your responsibility to clear customs using your appointed agent and pay any charges that may arise. Then, collect your delivery shipment and send it to your new address in Kuwait.

Securely send bags and boxes to Kuwait with our expert packing guide

Wrapping and packing your delivery shipment safely when shipping luggage internationally is essential. We highly recommend hiring professional packing services to ease stress. Otherwise, give yourself plenty of time and follow our top 4 tips below. For even more in-depth advice, read How to choose a box for shipping and Preparing large items for collection.

Seal your boxes:

Gather all your packing materials, like bubble wrap and parcel tape. Secure the base of your box by folding in the small flaps, then the large flaps, and seal them with multiple layers of overlapping parcel tape.

Cover any exposed edges with more tape, and wrap tightly around the bottom for extra security. Once your box is full, seal the lid using the same process.

Be careful with delicate items:

Use bubble wrap on everything and three layers for fragile things. Place the heaviest goods at the bottom of your box and lighter effects above them and towards the centre.

Fill gaps with cushioning materials like hand towels or packing paper. Once full, shake your box softly. If you hear a sound, add more cushioning materials until it stops.

Complete your inventory:

Log in to your account and fill in your inventory — a list of every item in your delivery shipment. Customs officials in Kuwait will have access to it; therefore, accuracy is a must.

With a marker pen, write the job number, box number, and shipment owner's destination city and country on two sides of all containers. Double-check with your inventory for accuracy as you write.

Prepare for collection day:

Weigh all delivery containers on bathroom scales to ensure they are within our max. 30kg/66lbs weight limit. If something exceeds the limit, move excess items from a heavy container to a lighter one.

For a smooth collection day experience, take all your boxes, bags, and luggage as close to your building's entrance as possible the night before.

We found Seven Seas Worldwide's service on time, very accurate and efficiently organised. Their customer service team were always understanding and helpful, and they seemed to know exactly what to do and, of course, were polite at all times. We decided to use Seven Seas Worldwide's cardboard boxes offered with their services over others as they were much better and sturdier.
