We provide full support during customs clearance
As an experienced removals company, we make the customs process in India as straightforward as possible for you. But there are a few essential things to keep in mind to help guide you through Indian customs:
Complete all online paperwork by logging into your account. Documents include optional insurance forms and your Inventory — an itemised list of everything you are shipping. Plus, an invoice for all electrical items, as officials will ask to see them.
There are no taxes on used personal belongings, provided you have owned them for at least twelve months. However, all electronic items, used or new, are subject to 38.5% customs duties. Please reference our Prohibited Goods page for commonly disallowed goods in India.
You must be present in India when your shipment arrives. Once your shipment docks in India, we'll move it to Bangalore ICD for customs clearance. Our agent will email you pre-filled import documents two weeks before your shipment arrives in India. Print and sign them, then contact BlueDart courier company. They will deliver them to our office along with the shipment owner's passport. Finally, we'll contact you once your goods have cleared customs to organise delivery.
If you need advice regarding customs information or have any questions, our multilingual customer support team is available 24/7.

Pack your belongings for worldwide shipping in 4 simple steps
When shipping internationally, it's essential to wrap and pack everything securely. We recommend hiring a professional packer to remove some stress. Otherwise, give yourself plenty of time and follow our top 4 tips below.
For more in-depth advice, check out our packing guides, including How to choose a box for shipping and Preparing large items for collection pages.
Avoid the clutter!:
Think hard about which belongings you should and shouldn't take. For example, there won't be much need for woolly jackets in a warm country like India! Plus, the less you ship, the more cost-effective it will be.
eBay and Facebook Marketplace are great resources for selling items you no longer need. High street charity shops will be happy to take anything you have in useable condition. Take everything else to your local recycling centre.
Be cautious with fragile goods:
Create a solid base for your box by sealing the flaps shut with three layers of overlapping parcel tape. Repeat when sealing the top. Cover all items in bubble wrap and use two or more layers for delicate goods. Place your heaviest items at the bottom and centre and lighter things above and away from the sides.
Fill gaps with soft materials like towels and packing paper. Once full, give your container a little shake. If you hear a sound, add more padding until it stops.
Arrange a parking spot for our vehicle:
Purchase any necessary tickets or permits before the MoveCube® arrives. Doing so ensures our driver can park within twenty meters of your building's entrance.
You are solely responsible for loading the MoveCube®. We advise asking friends and family to help. Our driver can loan you a trolley to transfer containers. But, for security, they must be able to keep the vehicle within eyesight at all times.
Load the MoveCube® by weight:
Before loading day, use the Small, Medium or Large floor sheet in your Starter Pack to determine if your possessions fit inside the MoveCube®. Place heavy and large items along the bottom and centre and build around them with lighter containers.
If you see a gap, fill it with a container instead of a loose item, as they could break easily and cause damage during transit.
What a fantastic service! So easy to use from start to finish. Seven Seas Worldwide's customer service was great. They were very easy to get a hold of. I really liked the live tracker to see where my shipment was. I Would 100% recommend Seven Seas Worldwide.
