What international shipping boxes do we provide for items travelling to Spain?
Our worldwide shippers offer sturdy boxes to protect your prized possessions when sending them to Spain. Made from chemically-strengthened cardboard, our most popular boxes are Large and Standard. See below for the exact dimensions. We recommend ordering more than you think you need. If unused containers are leftover in brand-new condition, we'll collect them for free.
Specially-shaped containers made from the same quality materials are available for large items, such as skis and bikes. Before collection, please wrap them securely. Then we'll move your specially-shaped items to our nearest depot and box them.
You can use your own boxes and bags. But please avoid laundry bags, plastic crates, used food boxes and bin liners. Such containers break easily and would likely damage the rest of your belongings. Do you want to send large household items like sofas and tables to Spain? If so, our international removals service, the MoveCube®, is your most cost-effective option.

Safely ship boxes and bags to Spain with this packing guide
Consider hiring a professional packing service to ensure your possessions arrive in perfect condition. Otherwise, set aside plenty of time to carefully wrap and pack each item, and follow our 4-step guide below. For more detailed tips, check out our How to choose a box for shipping and Preparing large items for collection pages.
Prepare your boxes:
Gather together all your packing materials, such as parcel tape and a knife. Seal the base of your box by folding in the small flaps, then the large flaps, and sealing them with three layers of overlapping parcel tape.
Cover exposed edges with more tape, then tightly seal all around the bottom of your container. Once full, secure the top of your box using the same process.
Double wrap fragile goods:
Use bubble wrap to cover all items, and use two layers for delicate and valuable items. Place heavy items along the bottom and lighter things on top and away from the sides of your container.
Fill gaps with soft materials like packing paper or towels. Give your box a gentle shake. If you hear any noise, add more soft materials till it stops.
Complete your online inventory:
Log in to your account and fill out your inventory as you pack. Spanish customs officials will ask to see it, so accuracy is a must.
Using a marker pen, write the job number, box number, and shipment owner's destination country and city on at least two sides of each container. Reference your inventory to ensure accuracy.
Prepare for collection day:
For the safety of you and our driver, each box, bag or suitcase cannot weigh over 30kg/66lbs. Weigh all containers individually on bathroom scales. If one exceeds the limit, remove some items to a lighter box.
Finally, move all containers as close to your building's entrance as possible for a smooth collection day experience.
A great service. Good quality packing and clear, helpful advice on the website. I liked being able to get quotes and exact package dimensions online. Customer service responded to queries very quickly and clearly. I would definitely use Seven Seas Worldwide again.
