How to pack your boxes in 4 effortless steps
Packing your boxes correctly is vital when it comes to safely shipping your items to the other side of the world. To ensure your goods arrive undamaged, we recommend the 'better to be safe than sorry' approach by following our four easy steps below (more information available in our Excess Baggage FAQs):
Organise your possessions:
Firstly, it is important to declutter and decide what you're going to take with you. Prioritise what you're going to sell, donate, dispose of and ship. Then, plan ahead and delegate which items you’re going to pack into particular boxes to make the unpacking process quick and easy.
Protect your items for shipping:
Thoroughly wrap each item with bubble wrap to protect them from colliding during transit. Place your heaviest items at the bottom and lightest at the top to avoid unnecessary damage.
Label and tape your boxes:
Once you’ve adequately taped your boxes, fill out your full name, job number, and delivery address in the form printed on our boxes. This makes the process run smoother for you and our team when it comes to identifying which goods belong to you.
Make the necessary checks before we collect:
It’s important to make final checks to ensure you have everything you need, packed and ready for when our driver arrives on collection day to avoid any delays.
Also, don't forget that your boxes must not exceed 30kg/66lbs for our driver's safety. We recommend using bathroom scales for measuring the weight of your boxed items.
Booking a MoveCube to transport items to Thailand was extremely easy and hassle-free - and getting through to customer services never presented any delays. All documentation etc sorted quickly and effortlessly and everything went according to plan, on time and the MoveCube was delivered to the address in Thailand quicker than expected. Would genuinely recommend Seven Seas Worldwide to anyone who needs to ship items abroad.
