Heavy congestion at Hutchinson Port Delta II in Rotterdam after strikes

Unfortunately, due to labour strikes between February 9th and 10th, 2024, Hutchinson Port Delta II in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) is experiencing a slowdown in operations for an undetermined period. The terminal is currently operating at less than 50% of regular productivity, with fewer moves per hour and delays in vessel turnarounds, significantly disrupting normal schedules.

The container shipping and logistics company Maersk says it is putting contingencies in place and continuing to monitor the situation surrounding labour negotiations at the terminal, which primarily serves destinations across Europe, focusing on shipping to and from major ports like Hamburg, Antwerp, and London.

More information about the expected delays

We understand that the ongoing uncertainties in Rotterdam may be frustrating, and we sincerely thank you for your patience. Our team is working closely with officials at the terminal to ensure operations run as smoothly as possible during this time. If we expect your shipment will be delayed, we'll notify you via email as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend checking your Seven Seas Worldwide online account for updates.
