A surge in visitors and traffic in Paris may result in shipment delays

After UEFA's Euro 2024 men's football tournament, Europe's summer of sporting excitement continues with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris. Unfortunately, alongside the excitement comes an added strain on logistics in and around the city due to the significant increase in tourism and travel.

An estimated 2.3 to 3.1 million ticketed visitors will descend on the European capital to enjoy the Games. As a result, there will be road closures, tight security measures and traffic restrictions. Therefore, we expect significant delays to some upcoming shipments before, during, and after the Olympics.

The Paris Olympic Games runs from 26th July until 11th August, and the Paralympic Games from 28th August until 8th September.
